First formed in 1985, the AeroShell Aerobatic Team is the longest running civilian aerobatic team in North America. They fly their iconic white, red, and black North American AT-6 Texans, a plane that was the primary training platform for all U.S. pilots who went on to fly fighter aircraft in World War II. AeroShell is renowned for its professional airmanship, tight formations, billowing smoke, and can-do attitudes. The team includes Team Lead Mark Henley, Right Wing Bryan Regan, Left Wing Steve Gustafson, Slot Gene McNeely, and Founder Alan Henley. Their talent and popularity as air show entertainers has been recognized with the air show community’s three most prestigious performer awards: the Art Scholl Showmanship Award, the Bill Barber Award for Showmanship, and in 2014, the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) Foundation inducted the AeroShell Aerobatic Team into its Hall of Fame.
