Battery Problems

The ProBalancer Sport uses 4 AA size batteries. Any AA battery may be used with the Model 1015 ProBalancer Sport. Battery life may vary between brands and types of AA batteries. For the best results, ACES Systems recommends using rechargeable 1.2V NiMH batteries with a 2700 mAh charge. Ensure the batteries are properly installed, with the positive and negative ends contacting their matching symbols in the battery compartment.

The ProBalancer Sport retains an internal charge reserve that will last 2.7 minutes, to allow battery changes without data loss. If the batteries are not changed within this time limit, the data stored in the balancer will be erased. To ensure no data is lost, ACES Systems recommends having a second set of batteries readily accessible at all times during the balance.

To change the batteries:

  • Remove the rubber protector (if present).
  • Slide the battery panel toward the bottom of the balancer to remove it.
  • Quickly remove the old batteries and install the new batteries, making sure the positive and negative ends contacting their matching symbols in the battery compartment.WARNING – DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW BATTERIES. This will damage the batteries (if rechargeable batteries are used), could result in drastically shortened battery life, and could damage the balancer.
  • When the new batteries are installed, install the battery cover by placing it on top of the batteries and sliding the cover toward the top of the balancer.
  • Install the rubber protector (if present).
