Here’s a little helper that we haven’t talked about for a couple of years.

When performing a propeller balance or vibration survey, have you ever tried to hold an analyzer in your lap, keep both feet on the brake pedals, operate the throttles, talk on the radio and secure the yoke all at the same time? It isn’t pretty.

A few years ago we designed a simple but very effective little device to secure the Model 1000 ProBalancer to your leg. With a minor alteration, that same device accommodated the follow-on analyzer, the Model 2020 ProBalancer Analyzer.

The strap is installed by first removing the hinge pins and the lid from the analyzer. The ends of one side of the strap are placed in the hinge of the analyzer and the pins then installed to secure it on one side. The strap loops around the carrying handle on the other side of the analyzer. The strap then goes around the leg through a plastic buckle and secures with a hook and pile fastener. The analyzer will stay in place on top of your leg allowing you the hands-free operation required in this situation.
